- A portfolio in a style close to what you want — wild and seasonal, structured and formal, or somewhere in between.
- Willingness to work within a budget rather than just upselling — ask for a few options at different price points.
- Experience delivering to your specific venue (timings for a castle up a long drive are different from a city-centre hotel).
- What happens to the flowers after the ceremony — many florists will move ceremony arrangements to the reception space.
