Save-the-dates, invitations, order-of-service sheets and table plans are easy to leave until last, but Scottish venues with long guest travel times (island and Highland weddings especially) benefit from save-the-dates going out well in advance.
What to look for
- A design style — letterpress, foil, simple print, hand-illustrated — that matches your wider wedding theme.
- Realistic lead times, especially for custom illustration or foil printing, which take longer than standard digital print.
- Whether postage and envelope addressing/calligraphy is included or quoted separately.
- A proofing process so you see (and approve) a final version before the full run is printed.

Typical price range in Scotland
Digitally printed invitation suites (invitation, RSVP card, envelope) commonly start around £3–£6 per set for a simple design; letterpress, foil or bespoke illustrated stationery can run considerably higher, often £8–£15+ per set.
